PRESENTED BY: THE TRAVELING DIARY

The Traveling Diary is a community where a physical composition notebook passes from woman to woman across the globe.
Today, maybe even right now, somewhere in the world a woman is opening her mailbox to find a treasure she’s been anticipating for weeks or in some cases months.
She's waited for this moment, thinking of what she might share once The Diary finds its way to her doorstep. The woman knows she’s a part of something sacred; something shared between a newfound global community of sisters.
The woman opens the package and what she finds is simple, sturdy, understated. She reads the words of other women, feels their pain, and shares their laughs or frustration. She finds the blank page.
What is her story? What will she share?

What is recoupment?
In the world of Broadway there is an important term you should know: recoupment.
Recoupment in Broadway production refers to the moment when a show has earned enough revenue to cover all of its initial investment costs. This is a significant milestone for any Broadway production, marking the point at which it starts to generate profit for its investors.
The process of recoupment involves earning back the initial outlay through ticket sales, merchandise, and sometimes rights for recordings or subsequent productions. You may recall one of our earlier investment opportunities was The Nutty Professor cast album.
The timeframe for recoupment can vary widely from one show to another, depending on factors such as the production's popularity, ticket prices, the size of the theater, and the overall running costs of the show.
Some productions recoup their investments within a few months, while others may take much longer or may never recoup at all.
Recoupment is critical for the financial health of a Broadway show. Once a show has recouped its initial investment, any additional revenue is considered profit, which can then be distributed among investors like us according to our share.
Review the production budget for “Appropriate” and notice the number of weeks they predict for recoupment.
